MURSMÛRS

"Mursmûrs" is a sound sculpture that whispers sounds of Peace into the ears of visitors, an installation created by the artist for the Arromanches Museum and the Abbaye aux Dames in Caen.

These walls do not separate; they bring people closer together. A symbolic place to settle, share listening; to hear the hope, the fears, the sounds of the city. Getting closer to see better, hear better, envision the Other. Truly.  One must get closer to listen to the whisper of the artwork; distant views only offer the appearance of the work. The contact is not virtual.  

The artist records sounds, texts, narratives spoken by symbolic and anonymous voices that the sculpture will convey as soon as someone approaches close enough or sits beside it, whispers of Peace.
