    The violence inflicted on women is reflected in these works by Anilore Banon. “Soul’s Skins” gives us the torn image of our own responsibility. After paying tribute to bravery, with the monumental sculpture “Les Braves” anchored on the sand of the Omaha Beach landing beach in Normandy, it is the cowardice that Anilore Banon denounces, that of those who abuse the weakest, that of those whose silence makes them complicit.

     

    Each skin, each sculpture, tells the story of a woman's destiny, her pain, her wounds, her lost childhood and her courage.
